Sheila Olsen Fine Art Gallery is proud to introduce guest artist Aida Avery. She will be painting and hosting workshops in the gallery during March, April and May. Stop by on Friday nights or Saturdays to meet her and learn more about her.
Aida Avery was born in Mexico City. In her early years she loved to draw and paint, but her inspiration started early on from her great uncle and aunt that were contemporary artists of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. In her late teens she attended INBA where she took drawing, painting and sculpture. She has had many artistic adventures traveling in Mexico, Guatemala, and Africa. When she moved to the United States she lived in the mountains of Vermont, where she raised her four children.
Aida loves to learn and is now attending LCAD. She loves helping others through art and healing workshops that she teaches. Aida finds that furthering her education enables her to continue creating art and teaching workshops and retreats in Art and writing.
