Ning Zhou’s newest release, Statue of Liberty, is a particularly good example of his visual poetry. It exudes an exuberant welcoming energy which instantly captivates the viewer, its magical phosphorescence of fantastic colors and shapes – its gestalt – somehow reminiscent of the Statue of Liberty and its loving inscription “give me your tired and poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”
