Maida Leach “Art Alley”
Eye Candy, paintings on paper of recent travels by Mada Leach will be featured in the Front Gallery along with Cosmic Dream, non-objective expressionist paintings on canvas by Sunny Kim, in the Skylight Gallery. Also exhibiting are local artists Cindy Beatteay, Ann Kim, Anne Moore, Hyatt Moore, Jong Ro, Lawrence Terry, Lynn Welker, and Susan WIlls. Meet the artists during the Art Walk on Thursday, Jan 7, 6-9 pm. Complimentary refreshments offered. In January KMFA will host a group show featuring artists Geoff Mitchell, Sarah Stockstill, Peter Kuttner, Kelsey Irvin, Nick Capaci, Jonde Northcutt and Karolina Sussland. This exhibit will offer a great taste of the stable of artists at Kelsey Michaels Fine Art. Introducing KMFA’s newest artist, Geoff Mitchell, whose mixed media paintings interplay between realism and layers upon layers of imagination and story. The exhibit will also include Sarah Stockstill’s fluid and enigmatic abstractions, Peter Kuttner’s newest works from his “Wild Song” series, and Kelsey Irvin’s vintage ephemera figurative works.
The opening reception will take place January 7th from 6-9pm and most artists will be present.
Virga Gallery has a new location – 305 N. Coast Hwy – across from Laguna Art Museum!
Replacing Indian Territory on the corner, Virga Gallery will anchor Gallery Row with its selection of original oil paintings in the expressive style of Virga Siauciunaite. It will also feature special shows.
The original location, 206 N. Coast Hwy, is planned to remain open until April.
Virga Gallery’s new location will open in early January. The Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting will be Friday, February 19, from 5pm to 8pm (public invited). The Grand Opening party will be Saturday, February 20, from 6 to 10 pm.
Prima Fine Art is pleased to exhibit the new collection by Abstract Impressionist Beata Kardewicz. Her original large artworks will be an ongoing display for 2016.
La Bottega dell’Acquaforte is pleased to present new works by Italian contemporary painter Carla Carli Mazzucato.
