“I have been an artist since childhood and continue to make art and design every day. I was born in Debrecen, Hungary and fell in love with the natural beauty of Southern California’s coast. I create my work using a complex process of paint pouring, layering, and brush strokes.
My paintings reflect my interest in nature and the creative/destructive forces present throughout the cosmos. The interaction of chemicals and the fluidity that creates an organic life form are the same processes of nature that carve out planets and continents. The paintings are a metaphor for Nature’s creative and destructive forces as well as my reflections on the beauty of planet earth from an aerial perspective and/ or a microscopic

Join The Signature Gallery, at 220 Forest Avenue, Laguna Beach, for ArtWalk, on April 6th, from 6pm – 9pm, to meet impasto painter Charles Pabst and bronze chess sculptor Mark Nordquist.
“I enjoy working now as much as I ever did,” said renowned painter Charles Pabst. “I love working with the people around me because the social aspect of my craft is what helps me paint. I just follow my heart and I feel what to do next.”
Charles Pabst thrives on the interactions of his large family and circle of friends. Each painting he creates embraces the hope and optimism that comes with traveling to beautiful locations and developing memories with those he loves. While each of the places he paints is full of the memories of people close to his heart, Charles Pabst lets his palette-knife oil paintings of dreamy California beaches, Colorado aspens, Tuscan countryside, and Paris streets speak for themselves, without a single person in sight, so that each of his collectors can fill in their own family memories.
Alongside the paintings of Charles Pabst, will be the eye-catching sculptures of master chessboard maker, Mark Nordquist, whose large animal-themed chess pieces cast in bronze feature creatures from the jungle, desert, Rocky Mountains, and the African Plains. Each set sits on a custom chessboard hand-crafted from stone and exotic woods.
Both artists’ works perfectly complement one another, creating visions inspired from places all around the world, pushing for a social interaction and remembering fond experiences, and representing sophistication and class.
Join The Signature Gallery for this April’s ArtWalk for the Charles Pabst and Mark Nordquist show and enjoy new paintings and sculptures, a live band, and complimentary catering.
